Hosting a holiday is more fun than math. So, we decided to take all the arithmetic out of the equation for you. Today, we’re answering a common question:
How Many Pounds of Turkey Per Person?
Well, the pros recommend about 1 to 1.5 lbs of turkey per guest.
We’re right there with you. At first, that sounds like way too much turkey. But, the thing to keep in mind is that America’s favorite holiday bird isn’t only made up of meat. There are bones, sinew, etc. that also add to the weight of the dish. So, a pound of turkey will, for example, have less meat than a pound of brisket.
Will that stop us from enjoying the tradition of free range, all-natural turkey shipped to your doorstep? Absolutely not.
So, where does that leave you when shopping with us? Below, you’ll find our four size offerings and a cheat sheet for how many each can be expected to serve.
