Ingredients:
For the Filet Mignon:
-
2 Filet Mignon steaks (Elevate your night with our Wagyu Filet!)
-
2 tablespoons olive oil
-
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
-
2 garlic cloves, crushed
-
2 sprigs of fresh rosemary or thyme
-
Salt and pepper to taste
For the Lobster:
-
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
-
1 tablespoon lemon juice
-
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
-
Prepare the lobster tails; slice through the top of the shell (down the middle), but do not cut through the underside or the meat will come apart.
-
In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. This fragrant butter sauce will bring out the best in the seafood.
-
Using a pastry brush, generously coat the lobster tails with the garlic butter. Set them aside while you prepare the steaks.
-
Heat a heavy skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil. Season the filets generously once the oil is hot, with salt and pepper on both sides.
-
Sear the filets in the hot skillet for about 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare or longer if you prefer your steak cooked more. In the last minute of cooking, add butter, garlic, and fresh herbs to the pan and spoon the melted butter over the steaks for extra flavor.
-
Once cooked to your desired doneness, remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest while you finish the seafood.
-
Preheat the grill or oven to 375°F. If grilling, place the king crab legs or lobster tails on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes, brushing occasionally with the garlic butter. If using the oven, bake for 10-12 minutes or until the lobster turns opaque.
-
Drizzle the remaining garlic butter over the seafood just before serving.
-
Plate the filet mignon alongside the lobster tails. For a pop of color, garnish with a fresh squeeze of lemon and a sprinkle of chopped parsley.
-
Set the table with candles, your favorite wine, and perhaps a light salad or roasted vegetables.
Creating a luxurious surf and turf dish is the perfect way to show your significant other you care and create an evening that you will never forget.
